--Stipendiary Steward, Mr P Knowles, alleged that "with approximately 200 metres to run ELUSIVE KATE (AJ Suddaby) moved outwards checking CORINGA RUBY (CJ Barron) with resulting checks to SHEZA FILLY (PM Hunter) and ZONDA (AR Beck).
--The film shows Mr Barron, CORINGA RUBY, is bumped by No.8, ELUSIVE KATE who is moving out from the trail. Mr Suddaby attempted to straighten too late. Mr Barron initially thought his horse may have contributed but after seeing the film changed his mind.
--Mr Suddaby said, "my horse ducked out, also Mr Barron laid in which did not help." Mr Barron added his horse at that stage had full blinds down and could not see Mr Suddaby's horse coming across.
--Margins were a neck ? 8-3/4 lengths ? nose ? three-quarters length ? head.
--I find that ELUSIVE KATE interfered with CORINGA RUBY which in turn extinguished the chances of SHEZA FILLY and ZONDA. I relegate ELUSIVE KATE to 8th (behind ZONDA).
