Following the running of Race 7, The Hideaway 201 Mobile Pace. An information was filed by Stipendiary Steward, Mr P Knowles, alleging that Mr R Jenkins, the driver of Two Up, shifted Washington Breeze, driven by Mr D Dunn, outwards with approximately 1200 metres to run, thereby breaching the push out rule.

--

--

Mr Jenkins admits the breach.

--

--

Video footage of the incident was demonstrated by Stipendiary Steward, Mr C Alison.

--

This shows Two Up, racing mid field, in the two wide running line.  Washington Breeze is racing three wide directly outside Two Up.

--

--

At about the 1200 metre mark, Mr Jenkins is observed to push out and put Mr Dunn four wide.

--

--

Both the 1200metre and 1000 metre markers are clearly identified by Mr Alison.

--

--

Mr Jenkins stated that he had made a mistake, believing the 1200 metre marker to be the 1000 metre peg.

--

--

Mr Knowles accepted that this was a low end breach and given Mr Jenkins clear record, a $200 fine was appropriate.

--

--

The Committee accepts the recommendation and imposes a fine of $200, reminding Mr Jenkins of his obligations as a senior horseman to be aware of a track layout.
