At the conclusion of race 2 the Lamb Drive Supporters Mobile Pace an information was lodged by Stipendiary Steward (Mr S P Renault) alleging that J W Cox (DANGIFIDONT) used his whip in an unnecessary manner when implementing it on approximately 15 occasions when racing out of contention.
Mr Cox admitted the breach.
Facts:
Stipendiary Steward Mr Renault showed the committee several video clips of the alleged incident highlighting Mr Cox (DANGIFIDONT) using his whip in an unnecessary manner.
Mr Renault stated that Mr Cox had an obligation under the rule to drive his horse out but on this occasion his horse (DANGIFIDONT) was well tried and it was clear that DANGIFIDONT was not going to run in a stake bearing placing.
Mr Cox agreed with Mr Renault’s statement.

Mr Renault stated that Mr Cox had no previous breaches under this rule and that he was a very busy horseman with a good driving record.
Mr Cox gave no submissions on penalty.
Reasons for Penalty:
The committee was satisfied that a breach of the rule had occurred and on this occasion Mr Cox has simply made an error of judgment.
