--Ms Pearson admitted to the breach of this rule and chose not to appear at the hearing.
--Rule reads:
Every horseman, owner, trainer and assistant thereof of a horse shall with regard to that horse ensure that:-
(d) all gear is correctly applied and/or affixed so as not to malfunction or come adrift.
Mr Knowles used video film of Race 1 to point out where, during the race, the two elastic wraps on the hind legs of CUBAN (No 12) had come adrift. One with a round to go and the second during the last lap. Mr Knowles (Stipendiary Steward) suggested that the standard fine for such a breach was $100.

--After a short deliberation, the Committee imposed a fine of $100 on Miss L Pearson.
