As Mr Cameron admitted the breach we find the charge proved.
Penalty:
We grant Mr Cameron's request to seek a deferment to his suspension as per Rule 1106(2).
Accordingly, we impose a suspension on Mr Cameron which will commence after racing on 1st September 2012 and conclude after racing on 6th September 2012 (4 days).
Charge:
Following race 4 , an information was filed pursuant to Rule 638(1)(d). The informant, Mr Oatham alleged that Mr Cameron permitted his mount LIPPY to shift inwards shortly after leaving the barriers when not sufficiently clear of CASH FOR KEEP which clipped a heel and blundered.
Facts:
Mr Robinson demonstrated the incident by using the video films. He pointed out to the committee that shortly after leaving the barriers Mr Cameron permitted his mount to move inwards when not the required distance clear of Ms Wenn's mount who clipped a heel and blundered.
Mr Cameron admitted to pushing forward and angling his mount inwards shortly after the start. He told the committee that he thought he was clear of other runners to his inside.

Mr Oatham produced Mr Cameron's record which showed 4 previous breaches under this rule in the last 12 months. He submitted that Mr Cameron was the busiest rider last season and rode all over the country. He assessed Mr Cameron's record as a good one taking into account the large number of rides he has in a season. He pointed out to the committee that Mr Cameron's last breach under this rule was in March 2012. He submitted the level of carelessness was at the low end and an appropriate penalty should reflect that.
Mr Cameron told the committee that he does ride all over the country and had firm commitments up to and including 1st September. He submitted a request to seek a deferment to his proposed suspension.

The committee carefully considered all the evidence and submissions presented. The mitigating factors are Mr Cameron's admission of the breach, the level of carelessness which we assess at the low end and his overall good record considering his busy schedule. Taking into account all these facts we believe an appropriate penalty is a suspension of 4 days. We accept Mr Cameron does ride all over the country and this will be reflected in his penalty.
