Following the running of race 1 an information was filed by Stipendiary Steward Mr N Goodwin (Informant) that alleged that trainer Mr D Fuge had presented HULA SISTER to the inspection area without blinkers.

Following the running of race 1 an information was filed by Stipendiary Steward Mr N Goodwin (Informant) that alleged that trainer Mr D Fuge had presented HULA SISTER to the inspection area without blinkers.
--Rule 868 (2) provides as follows :- “A horse which ran without any of the notifiable gear.....at its previous start or which has not previously raced shall not run with such racing gear in any race unless: a) permission to run the horse with such gear has been obtained from a Stipendiary Steward....”
--Mr Fuge signified that he admitted the breach and indicated he did not wish to be present at the hearing.
--The charge is thus found to be proved.
--DECSION AND REASONS
--Mr Goodwin recommended a fine of $100.
--The committee concurred. Mr Fuge is fined the sum of $100.
