Prior to Race 8 (Valachi Downs Foxbridge Plate) Information No. A12934 was filed with the Judicial Committee. It was alleged that Mr T Harris could not make the contracted weight for SCOTT BASE.
Mr Jones advised the Committee that he had spoken to Mr Harris earlier on race morning who stated that he would be unable to make the weight for SCOTT BASE (58.5kg).
Mr Harris told Mr Jones that he was happy for the charge to proceed in his absence and said that he admitted the breach.

Mr Jones said that it was over 120 days since Mr Harris had breached the Rule and under normal circumstances it would have been dealt with under a minor infringement.
He said that as it was a Group 2 event with a stake of $100,000 the RIU was seeking an uplift in penalty and recommended a Fine of $250 - $300 be imposed.
Reasons for Penalty:
As it was the feature event on the programme (Group 2, $100,000 Prize money) the Committee determined that an uplift from a minor infringement was justified.
