Following Race 9 an information was filed pursuant to Rule 871(1)(d) when it was alleged that near the 250 metre mark KEEPAFLYIN (A Peard) shifted out for a run when not clear, causing a check to RIGHTEOUS LASS (C Grylls) who was forced outwards causing a check to HEZA GANGSTER (V Johnson).
Following Race 9 an information was filed pursuant to Rule 871(1)(d) when it was alleged that near the 250 metre mark KEEPAFLYIN (A Peard) shifted out for a run when not clear causing a check to RIGHTEOUS LASS (C Grylls) who was forced outwards causing a check to HEZA GANGSTER (V Johnson).
--Mr Peard admitted the charge.
--Stipendary Steward Mr A Coles, in demonstrating the front, side, and rear view videos showed Mr Peard, in making a run, push out RIGHTEOUS LASS, who was forced on to HEZA GANGSTER. It was clearly evident that there was never the room for him to make such a move.
--Mr Peard said that he had perhaps got a bit desperate in trying to make room for himself.
--PENALTY:
--Mr Oatham, in asking for a suspension, gave Mr Peard's record which showed a suspension 8 months ago. He asked for a suspension of 4-5 days.
--Mr Peard said that as he had no firm engagements for the Rotorua meeting on 27 December. He asked that any suspension start after 26 December. He asked also that consideration be given to some good engagements that he had for Ellerslie on 1 January 2008.
--The committee, after due consideration and taking into account
