Following Race 8 an information was filed pursuant to Rules 856(1), 858(1)(a), 523(3) when it was alleged by the informant, Stipendiary Steward Mr Coles that Mr A J Calder, the rider of VALAZAR, committed a breach of those Rules when he failed to weigh in for sixth place. Mr Calder pleaded guilty.

The horse VALAZAR is disqualified from sixth place, and Mr Calder is fined $150 and will also forfeit his riding fee |
