Decision: Following Race 1 an information was filed pursuant to Rule 871 (1) (d) by Stipendiary Steward A Coles. He alleged that approximately at the 600 metres Mr C Leveque, rider of DYNAMITE, permitted his mount to shift out from the rail into the line of BLASE
Following Race 1 an information was filed pursuant to Rule 871 (1) (d) by Stipendiary Steward A Coles. He alleged that approximately at the 600 metres Mr C Leveque, rider of DYNAMITE, permitted his mount to shift out from the rail into the line of BLASE (I Lupton) resulting in that runner clipping heels and losing ground.

Mr C Leveque pleaded guilty to the charge.

Stipendiary Steward Mr M Williamson demonstrated the video films, and showed near the 600 metre mark DYNAMITE moved out and took the line of BLASE when insufficiently clear, causing a significant check.

Mr C Leveque had nothing to add.

Mr Coles produced Mr C Leveque’s record , which showed he had no charges under this rule. In his opinion the offence warranted a suspension of 4 - 6 days.

Mr Leveque said he had no up coming engagements.
----
The committee carefully considered all submissions and before imposing a penalty considered the following:

1: Mr Leveque’s record.
--2: His Guilty plea.
--3: The level of interference caused.
----

Accordingly, we suspend Mr Leveque from the conclusion of racing on the 19th March up to and including the 27th March 2008 (5 Days)
