Following the running of race No 7, an information was filed alleging a breach of rule 864 (2) (d).
--The informant was Mr. J M Muirhead and the defendant Mr. S Reid the trainer driver of La Bella Mafia. The information stated that Mr. Ried failed to affix the removable earhood on La Bella Mafia so as not to malfunction.
--Mr. Reid admitted the breach of this rule and did not wish to be present at the hearing.
--Mr. Muirhead recommended a fine of $200.00 and produced Mr. Reid's record for perusal.
--Decision And Reasons.
--As the breach was admitted this Judicial Committee has taken this into account when imposing penalty, we have also taken into account Mr. Reid's excellent record and we impose a fine of $175.00 in this instance.
