An Information was lodged by Stipendiary Steward Mr Davidson alleging the horse IRISHLINE, trained by Mr C Langford, was presented to race with racing plates that had sharp flanges in a poorly shod condition.
--Mr Davidson clarified the Rule with Mr Ching reinforcing the charge from his discussion with the Plating Inspector.
--Mr Ching showed the Committee the offending plate, identifying the alleged sharp flanges.
--Mr Langford, on reflection of the physical evidence, admitted the breach, stating that he had not filed down the plate sufficiently on this occasion.
--The Committee upheld the breach.
--In fixing penalty Mr Langford had no previous offences under this Rule and on this occasion was fined the sum of $100.00.
