Decision: Following the running of Race 4, the Tool King South Fillies & Mares Pace, an information was laid by Stipendiary Steward Mr N. G. McIntyre against Mr M. G. Gill, the trainer of “Kikka Ki Katie” (14), alleging a breach of Rule 864(2)(d), in that the boring pole was not correctly affixed and came adrift during the race.

Following the running of Race 4, the Tool King South Fillies & Mares Pace, an information was laid by Stipendiary Steward Mr N. G. McIntyre against Mr M. G. Gill, the trainer of “Kikka Ki Katie” (14), alleging a breach of Rule 864(2)(d), in that the boring pole was not correctly affixed and came adrift during the race.

Mr Gill had indicated on the information that he admitted this breach of the Rules and also that he did not wish to be present at the hearing.

Penalty: Mr McIntyre advised that Mr Gill had no previous relevant convictions and recommended a fine of $100-00. I was satisfied that a fine of $100-00 was appropriate in this case and Mr Thomas was fined this amount.
