Chief Stipendiary Steward Mr N. R. Escott has filed an Information against Licensed Trainer Mr A. L. Stratford alleging a breach of Rule 865(2) and the Approved Gear Regulations. It was alleged that Mr Stratford failed to submit a gear sheet to HRNZ for “Flying Diamonds” (2) which started in Race 8, the Garrard’s Sires’ Stakes.

--On behalf of Mr Stratford, Mr C. J. Barron had indicated on the information that this breach of the Rules was admitted, and that he did not wish to attend the hearing. The Stipendiary Stewards recommended a fine of $50-00 in this case, and we were satisfied that this was an appropriate amount. Accordingly Mr Stratford was fined the sum of $50-00.
