--Mr M G Larter, Licensed Trainer, as agent of Mr Burnett, had signed the Statement by the Defendant on the information form indicating, firstly, that the breach was admitted and, secondly, that he did not wish to be present at the hearing of the information. The breach was found proved accordingly.
Rule 864 provides as follows:
(2) Every horseman, owner, trainer and assistant thereof of a horse shall with regard to that horse ensure that:-
(b) any gear, appliance or device used or to be used in a race is of good quality and is in good order and condition.
Mr Burnett was fined the sum of $100.
