DECISION AND REASONS:
--Following the running of Race 10, Rangiora Harness Racing Club Back at Home in Rangiora April 29th Pace, an information was filed by Chief Stipendiary Steward, Mr N R Escott, against Licensed Public Trainer, Mr A D Stuart, trainer of BACK ON LINE, alleging "that the shoe on BACK ON LINE was of poor quality and order resulting in it being taken off the horse before the race".
----Licensed Open Driver, Mr B N Orange, acting as agent for Mr Stuart, had signed the Statement of Defendant on the information form acknowledging, firstly, that the breach was admitted and, secondly, that he did not wish to be present at the hearing of the information. The charge was found to be proved.
----Mr Escott produced the offending shoe which was, clearly, in very poor condition. He recommended a fine of $100.
----Mr Stuart was fined the sum of $100.00.
