--An information was filed by Chief Stipendiary Steward, Mr N R Escott, against Licensed Public Trainer, Mr M Purdon, alleging that, prior to Race 4, PlaceMakers Cranford Street Pace, the incorrect saddle cloth was put on OHOKAS POCKET, trained by Mr Purdon (No.12 instead of No.14).
----Licensed Open Driver, Mr B N Orange, acting as Mr Purdon's representative, signed the Statement of Defence endorsed on the information form indicating that Mr Purdon admitted the breach and that he did not wish to be present at the hearing of the information.
----The charge was found proved.
----Mr Escott stated that OHOKAS POCKET had paraded in the birdcage prior to the Race in saddle cloth No.12 instead of its carded No.14.
----Mr Purdon was fined the sum of $200.00.
