Following the running of Race 8, the Fireworks Don’t Start Fires – Yeah Right Handicap Trot, an information was laid by Stipendiary Steward Mr B. D. Williams alleging a breach of the “lapped on” rule, Rule 870(5), by PAMMY’S PRINCE (10) driven by Mr M. P. Edmonds. Mr Edmonds did not attend the hearing, and he had endorsed the original (white) copy of the Information that he did not contest that his horse should be disqualified. In fact the Stipendiary Stewards were seeking relegation of PAMMY’S PRINCE and not disqualification.

Video coverage of the race was used to show that PAMMY’S PRINCE finished in 5th place at which time it was in a break, and lapped on by the 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th horses.

Accordingly PAMMY’S PRINCE is relegated to 9th place. The amended places are as follows :
