Following Race 3 an information was filed under rule 866 (1) (c), in that R. Eynon being the rider of the third placed horse SMOKE, failed to ride his mount out to the end of the race
Following Race 3 an information was filed under rule 866 (1)( c), in that R. Eynon being the rider of the third placed horse SMOKE, failed to ride his mount out to the end of the race when he had a reasonable chance of finishing in second place.
--Mr Coles demonstrated the video, showing head -on and side-on views.
--Mr Eynon was seen to relax his riding at least four strides before the post. In that time Mr Walker, the rider of THREE FOR BUSTER, was seen to be urging his mount and used the whip at least twice, overtaking Mr Eynon on SMOKE.
--The margin between second and third was a short head.
--As Mr Eynon has admitted the charge. We are only required to adjudicate on penalty.
--Mr Oatham gave Mr Eynon's record which was clear of any charges under this rule and asked for a suspension of 3 to 4 weeks. Mr Eynon had nothing to add.
