DECISION & REASON:
--Following Race 3 an information was laid against apprentice jockey, Ms J Ivil, alleging a breach of Rule 871(1)(d), namely careless riding. The information reads that she being the rider of OLLIE MCNAG (No.8) permitted her mount to shift in when not clear of RED FLASH (No.9) ridden by Mr R Norvall who was checked.
--Ms Ivil admitted the breach.
--Mr Williamson, Assistant Stipendiary Steward, demonstrated the incident. He said Ms Ivil moved four horse widths inwards when not clear of other runners.
--The committee said they had viewed the incident on the race videos, and have taken into account Ms Ivil's explanation and Mr Manning's helpful submissions.
--PENALTY:
--The only issue for determination is penalty.
