DECISION & REASON:
--Following race 8 the Stipendiary Steward, Mr J Oatham, filed an information pursuant to Rule 871(1)(d) when he alleged that L Hofmann shifted inwards after the start on ASMAHAN when not sufficiently clear of CLIMBING HIGH (L Allpress) dictating that runner into the line of WISHING (L Cropp) who had to be sharply checked.
----Miss Hofmann admitted the charge.
----In demonstrating the video Mr W Robinson showed Miss Hofmann moving her mount towards the rails soon after the start. She put pressure on Miss Allpress on her inside who was forced into the line of Miss Cropp's mount. Miss Hofmann, in admitting the charge said she did not see Miss Cropp or hear any call.
----PENALTY:
--Mr Oatham gave Miss Hofmann's good record and also asked for a suspension because of the check suffered by Miss Cropp.
--After taking all matters into account including Miss Hofmann's guilty plea and her good record we suspend her from riding from the conclusion of racing on 10 December until the conclusion of racing on 17 December 2006.
