Following Race 7 an Information was filed pursuant to Rule 871(1) (D).

--

The informant Stipendiary Steward Mr N Goodwin alleged that Mr A Webb allowed his mount Tirohanga Reigns to shift inwards near the 200 metres when not sufficiently clear causing crowding to Ava Crown (D. Bradley), Bruce Almighty (C. Parish), Casual (K. Myers) and Danasawa (M. Wenn)

--

--

Mr Webb pleaded guilty and was represented by Trainer Mr V Booth.

--

--

Mr Oatham demonstrated the video films and showed that at approximately the 200 metre mark Mr Webb, riding the eventual winner Tirohanga Reigns, allowed his mount to move in when challenging for the lead.  Mr Webb was not the required distance clear of Ava Crown (D. Bradley) and this inward movement caused quite severe tightening of a further 3 runners inside Ava crown.

--

--

--

with resultant tightening to 3 other runners and he submitted a suspension of 4 days would be appropriate.  Mr Webb said his only commitments were on the second day, 9 November 2008.

--

--
