--Following Race 4 an Information was filed pursuant to Rule 871(1)(d) when it was alleged by the Informant, Mr Oatham, that Ms Davidson, the rider of ROVE angled her mount outward near the 500 metre mark when not clear of GRENOBLE, ridden by D Walker, causing that runner to be checked.
--Ms Davidson pleaded guilty to the charge.
--Mr Goodwin showed the video films, which clearly showed Ms Davidson angle her mount into the line of Mr Walker, who did receive quite a severe check as a result.
--Penalty:
--Mr Oatham produced Ms Davidson's record, which showed two charges since December 2005 ?
--4 December 2005 suspended two weeks.
--31 May 2006 ? suspended two weeks.
--He believed a suspension was necessary as Mr Walker did receive quite a severe check. He believed it was an impatient ride on Ms Davidson's behalf.
--Ms Davidson said she believed the interference was minimal and asked the Committee for leniency. She said she hoped to go to Malaysia to ride next weekend, but hoped to change her bookings if necessary.
--The Committee considered all submissions and concluded a suspension was warranted, given the extent of the check to Mr Walker. Accordingly, Ms Davidson was suspended from after racing on the 27th September 2006, until the conclusion of racing on the 4th October 2006 (3 days).
