--An information, in terms of Rule 869(2), was filed by Stipendiary Steward Mr J Oatham alleging that the defendant, Mr K Harrison, was careless in saddling the wrong horse for race one. The charge was admitted.

The informant advised the Committee that the mistake in saddling the wrong horse was detected during a brand check prior to the horse entering the birdcage area.

There was no resultant delay in the start time of the race.

The defendant admitted his mistake and stated both horses involved were very similar in appearance.

Addressing penalty, the informant recommended a fine between $300 and $500, citing a recent similar breach as being subject to a $400 fine.
