ID: JCA19038
Hearing Type (Code):
thoroughbred-racing
Decision: --
Following race one an information was filed pursuant to Rule 871(1)(d) when it was alleged by the Stipendiary Steward, Mr A Coles, that Mr R Eynon, rider of ROYAL KEEL, allowed his mount to shift outwards over the final stages of the race when not sufficiently clear of SCISSORMAN.
| -- DECISION & REASON: --Following race one an information was filed pursuant to Rule 871(1)(d) when it was alleged by the Stipendiary Steward, Mr A Coles, that Mr R Eynon, rider of ROYAL KEEL, allowed his mount to shift outwards over the final stages of the race when not sufficiently clear of SCISSORMAN. Mr Eynon pleaded guilty to the charge which means this Committee only needs to determine a penalty. ----Mr Coles gave submissions on penalty and said Mr Eynon's record was a good one with his charge being 12 months ago. However, he believed a suspension was the correct penalty. ----Mr Eynon declined to make submissions. ----The Committee considered all submissions and agreed a suspension was necessary. Accordingly we suspend Mr Eynon from after racing on 15 September until after racing on 22 September, 3 effective days. |
