--Mr C George, senior stipendiary steward, informed the committee the horse LORD TIOGA was presented late to the enclosure and was only 30 seconds away from being late scratched.
--Mr Wallace saddles up his horses at his stables at the 1600 metre mark and the distance from the enclosure did not allow for any discussion with vets or stewards in the event of an injury to the horse. Mr Wallace told the committee that he always saddles up in his own stables. On this occasion he felt his horse had suffered a minor injury and he could not find a vet. He was running late arriving at the enclosure.
--Mr C George asked for a monetary penalty and stated that races must be run on time.
--DECISION AND REASON
--The committee in arriving at a monetary penalty took into account Mr Wallace's admittance of the breach. Mr Wallace was informed that rules are put in place for the benefit of all parties and must be enforced. It was suggested that this breach of the rule would not have happened if he had saddled up at the facilities close to the enclosure.
--He was fined $150.
