Mr Neal requested a ruling as to the disqualification of PEYOW PEYOW as its rider Ms B Moore, had failed to weigh-in as required by rule 647(1).

Ms Moore explained that she had forgotten because she had been distracted by the trainer of a horse in the next race who had wanted her saddle.

Ms Moore had neither been excused by the stipendiary stewards from weighing-in, nor were there exceptional circumstances. This being the case, disqualification is mandatory pursuant to rule 647(1).
