DECISION & REASONS:
--Stipendiary Steward Mr N Goodwin, lodged an information alleging jockey Mr R Eynon allowed his mount to shift in approaching the first turn when not clear of CHARANI and GUISE, both of which had to be checked by their riders and lost running to which they were entitled.
--Rule 871(1)(d) was read and confirmed. Mr Eynon admitted the breach.
--Video films were shown of RED HOT CHILLI (R Eynon) moving forward and across in front when not the required distance clear and taking the line of CHARANI and GUISE causing their riders to check their mounts.
--Mr Eynon confirmed the evidence presented with the video footage.
--Mr Goodwin presented a clear record of the past year by Mr Eynon; however, two checks received in this offence warrants a term of suspension.
--Mr Eynon stated there was no malice in the incident and that it was unfortunate.
--Arriving at the decision the committee have taken into account the admittance of the breach and the good record presented of Mr Eynon. The severity of the offence in that two riders were forced to check their mounts does warrant a term of suspension. Mr Eynon is suspended from the close of racing on Wednesday 25 July 2007 until the conclusion of racing on Wednesday 1 August 2007.
