--Mr Holmes, the trainer / driver of PUERTO ESCONDIDO did not contest the relegation and did not appear before the Committee.
--Ms Williams, stipendiary steward, demonstrated on the videos that turning for home PUERTO ESCONDIDO moved wider on the track causing interference to horses on its outer, and in particular SWAMP DWELLER, Ms S Ottley. This horse then came back on to MACAULEY MAGUIRE, which was severely inconvenienced.
--We are satisfied that MACAULEY MAGUIRE suffered interference and its chances of a better placing were effected thereby. This was due to PUERTO ESCONDIDO outwards movement. We exercise our discretion and uphold the protest.
--Placings are now 12, 2, 1, 5, 4, 7.
