Stipendiary Steward Mr N G McIntyre alleged that possible interference by horse no. 7 LITTLE JOSH, to horse no. 11 ANGELA'S DREAM had occurred rounding the final bend.
--Video evidence showed ANGELA'S DREAM on the back of LITTLE JOSH rounding the final bend. LITTLE JOSH ran out slightly but both drivers were certain there was no contact.
--Mr Dunn said his horse was going okay but Mr Williamson's move had been okay with no blame for his horse breaking by anything Mr Williamson had done.
--Both Mr Cook and Mr Williamson confirmed this. They confirmed that LITTLE JOSH had its head around but this had had little effect.
--Mr Williamson said Mr Dunn's horse had galloped in the past and it wore a boring pole. Also Oamaru track's final bend is difficult to go round at top speed. He also contended that Mr Dunn's horse had broken fairly easily.
--Mr May and Mr McIntyre, in summarising the incident, also agreed with the evidence that had been given.
--Therefore I dismiss the protest.
