| -- DECISION AND REASONS: --Stipendiary Steward, Mr S Larkins, alleged that "with approximately 1300 metres to run, Mr D McDonald (WADDELL) shifted out causing DELTA BREEZE (M Palermo) to race wider on the track." ----Mr McDonald advised that he had the choice to run over the markers or let his horse run out as it was trying to do. Video evidence showed WADDELL was racing quite settled until Mr McDonald pulled its head to the right and then it started to pull, causing the incident. Mr McDonald conceded this was correct. Mr McDonald admits the charge under Rule 1111(1)(d). ----Decision: ----The charge was found proven. ----Submissions as to Penalty: ----The Stipendiary Steward asked for $200 as this was Mr McDonald's first offence. --Mr McDonald said it was satisfactory to him. ----Penalty: ----Mr McDonald was fined the sum of $200. |
