DECISION AND REASONS:
--Following the running of Race 9, Tuskers Fine Food Handicap Trot, an information instigating a protest was filed by Stipendiary Steward, Mr N G McIntyre, against HANGINTHERE, placed 4th by the judge, on the ground of breaking over the concluding stages and being lapped on by TIME TO SHINE, placed 5th by the judge.
----Mr R J Latimer, the trainer of HANGINTHERE, had signed an endorsement on the information form to the effect that "the connections didn?t contest the protest".
----Stipendiary Steward, Mr N M Ydgren, showed a video replay of the final stages of the race. He pointed out HANGINTHERE (G D Smith) pass the 50 metre marker and then go off stride and gallop for a distance of approximately 40 metres to the finishing line and being lapped on by TIME TO SHINE (R T May).
----Mr McIntyre produced the official photo finish for 4th placing in the race which showed HANGINTHERE in a gallop when its nose reached the finishing line and being lapped on by TIME TO SHINE.
----Accordingly, the protest was upheld and HANGINTHERE was relegated to 5th placing and TIME TO SHINE promoted to 4th.

Consequent upon the relegation, the official placings for the race are as follows:
