DECISION AND REASONS:
--Following the running of Race 11, Avonhead Tavern Mobile Pace, an information was filed by Chief Stipendiary Steward, Mr N R Escott, against Mr S A Dolan, holder of a Licence to Train, alleging that "the shoe on MOWENDOWN (trained by Mr Dolan) was in poor condition resulting in it requiring attention and delaying the start of the race".
----The information was filed on race night and heard at the meeting of Ashburton Trotting Club at Ashburton Raceway on 2 June 2007.
----Mr Dolan had signed the Statement of Defendant on the information form acknowledging, firstly, that he admitted the breach and, secondly, that he did not wish to be present at the hearing of the information. Accordingly, the charge was found proved.
----Mr Escott recommended a fine of $100.
----Mr Dolan was fined the sum of $100.
