DECISION AND REASONS:
--An information was lodged by Chief Stipendiary Steward Mr N. R.Escott against Mr C. T. Dalgety, licensed trainer of "Cosimo Bromac" (10), alleging a breach of Rule 834(2)(a). It was alleged that Mr Dalgety late scratched his horse from Race 9 at 12-10pm today. The reason for the late scratching was that the horse had been sold.
--Mr Dalgety had indicated on the Information that he admitted the breach of this rule and that he did not wish to attend the hearing. Mr Escott recommended a fine of $200-00 for this breach. After looking at previous penalties for a breach of this rule I was satisfied that the fine suggested was in line with previous penalties. Mr Dalgety was therefore fined the sum of $200-00.
