Following the running of Race 7, the David Emerson Consultancy Mobile Pace, an information was lodged by Stipendiary Steward Mr N. G. McIntyre against Mr M. P. Jones alleging a breach of Rule 867 in that Mr Jones drove Gemside for the final 200 metres of the race with one foot not in the sulky foot rest.

DECISION AND REASONS:
--Following the running of Race 7, the David Emerson Consultancy Mobile Pace, an information was lodged by Stipendiary Steward Mr N. G. McIntyre against Mr M. P. Jones alleging a breach of Rule 867 in that Mr Jones drove Gemside for the final 200 metres of the race with one foot not in the sulky foot rest. Mr Jones had indicated on the Information that he admitted the breach of this rule and that he did not wish to be present at the hearing.

--PENALTY: Mr McIntyre advised that Mr Jones had no previous convictions for a similar offence, and taking this and the guilty plea into account a fine of $100-00 was recommended. We were satisfied that a fine of $100-00 was appropriate in this case and Mr Jones was fined $100-00.
