| -- DECISION AND REASONS: --Following the running of Race 3, Hubbers Furnishings Handicap Trot, an information instigating a protest was filed by Stipendiary Steward, Mrs K R Williams, being a protest against MYRNOING INVASION (M R de Filippi), placed 5th by the judge, on the grounds of breaking from its gait and being lapped on by PAMMY?S PRINCE (S R McNally), placed 6th by the judge. ----Mr M R de Filippi, Licensed Trainer/Open Horseman, attended the hearing of the information and informed the Committee that he was representing the connections of MYRNOING INVASION. Mr de Filippi indicated that he did not contest the relegation of that horse. ----Mrs Williams pointed out, on a video replay of the final stages of the race, that MYRNOING INVASION went into a gallop about 40 metres from the finishing line and continued in a gallop across the line. She alleged that it was lapped on by the 6th horse, PAMMY?S PRINCE. Mrs Williams also produced a photo finish of the race which clearly showed MYRNOING INVASION in a gallop when its nose reached the finishing line and being lapped on by PAMMY?S PRINCE. ----Accordingly, the protest was upheld and MYRNOING INVASION was relegated to 6th placing and PAMMY?S PRINCE was promoted to 5th. ----The amended result for the race is: --1st Dierdre Don (14) --2nd Zuri (7) --3rd Cornishman (8) --4th New Year Whiz (2) --5th Pammy's Prince (5) --6th Myrnoing Invasion (1) ----CHAIRMAN ------
