DECISION AND REASONS:
--An information was filed by Stipendiary Steward, Mr N G McIntyre, against Licensed Public Trainer, Mr G R Dunn, alleging that Mr Dunn, as the trainer of CHAUSETTES BLANCHE, an acceptor for Race 5, "failed to notify a driver for CHAUSETTES BLANCHE by 1.00pm on Wednesday the 14 March advising at 7.00pm".
----Mr Dunn had signed the Statement of Defendant endorsed on the information form indicating, firstly, that he admitted the breach and, secondly, that he did not wish to be present at the hearing of the information. The breach was found to be proved.
----Mr McIntyre informed the Committee that he had been advised by the Club's representative, Mr B P Rabbitt, that no driver had been advised for CHAUSETTES BLANCHE in Race 5 by the time for declaration of drivers (1.00pm on 14 March) and that R T May was not advised as the driver of the horse until 7.00pm on that date. Mr McIntyre said that Mr Dunn had offered no explanation for not notifying a driver by the required time. He recommended a fine of $50.
----Mr Dunn was fined the sum of $50.00.
