| -- DECISION AND REASONS: --Following the running of Race 11, Fuji Xerox Handicap Trot, an information instigating a protest was filed by Stipendiary Steward, Mrs K R Williams, against BILLY BOY (R P Nyhan), placed 5th by the judge, on the ground of breaking from its gait. ----There was no appearance by the connections of BILLY BOY at the hearing but Mr Nyhan, the driver and a part-owner of the horse, had endorsed on the information form "I do not contest this protest" and had signed that endorsement. ----Mr Williams stated that BILLY BOY had broken from it gait inside the final 200 metres of the race and had continued in a gallop to the finishing line for a distance in excess of the distance of 50 metres as prohibited by the Breaking Horses Regulation.
