DECISION AND PENALTY:
--Following the running of Race 1, the Paul Renwick Kitchen & Joinery Building Supplies Mobile Pace, Stipendiary Steward Mr N. M. Ydgren laid an Information charging Mr N. G. McGrath with a breach of Rule 857(7)(g) of failing to ensure his horse (Enchanter Franco) was on the mobile gate at dispatch.
------Mr McGrath had indicated on the information that he admitted this breach
--of the Rules and he did not appear at the hearing.
--Stipendiary Steward Mrs K. R. Williams showed the committee the video of the start of the race which clearly showed Enchanter Franco a length and a half behind the gate at dispatch.
--In relation to penalty the Stipendiary Stewards recommended a fine of $100.00 as this was Mr McGrath's first offence under this Rule.
--The committee was satisfied that the recommended fine was fair and Mr McGrath was fined the sum of $100.00.
