Following the running of Race 2, the Andy Pope & Associates – Brown & Paterson Panelbeaters Mobile Pace, an information was laid by Stipendiary Steward Mr T. W. Taumanu against Mr A. G. Herlihy, driver of “Victoria Rulz” (3), alleging a breach of Rule 866. The charge was that Mr Herlihy used an unapproved whip on “Victoria Rulz”, in that it was coloured blue, and not the approved colour of black.

The charge was that Mr Herlihy used an unapproved whip on “Victoria Rulz”, in that it was coloured blue, and not the approved colour of black.

Mr Herlihy had indicated on the information that he admitted this breach of the Rules and that he did not wish to attend the hearing.

Penalty:
--In relation to penalty Mr Taumanu recommended a fine of $100-00. We were satisfied that a fine of $100-00 was appropriate and Mr Herlihy was fined this amount.
