The off-side hopple front carrier strap came undone causing the horse to break and lose its chance.

--Mr GODFREY admitted the breach and was present at the hearing.
--Mr WALLIS said the incident was reported by driver Mr S McCAFFREY after the race. Mr WALLIS inspected the gear and found it to be in excellent condition.
--Mr GODFREY said he was at a loss to explain how the strap came undone.
--The standard fine of $200 in these circumstances where a horse lost its chance was recommended and is imposed.
