| -- Following the running of race 1 an information was lodged by Mr. Williams instigating a protest under rule 869[8]. It was alleged that horse number 16 placed 2nd by the judge approximately 200 meters to run interfered with Hello Star [Mr. S Thompson]. Mr. Williams in his summary said that with approximately 200 meters to run Sun Dhu forced Hello Star outwards onto Fasta Gee Gee [S McNally] causing contact between Hello Star and Fasta Gee Gee and as a result Hello Star broke stride and lost all chance. Mr. Thomson at the commencement of the hearing confirmed that he represented the connections of Sun Dhu. --After hearing the evidence from the prosecution Mr. Thomson advised the committee that Sun Dhu had been responsible for Hello Star breaking stride and that his horse should be relegated. --Accordingly the judge's first five placings are amended to read 19, 10, 17, 5 and 8.
