Following the running of race 9 an information was laid by Mr. Williams instigating a protest under rule 870 [4] [a] A. It was alleged that horse number 9 [Allrighty] placed 4th by the judge broke with approximately 2600 meters to run and remained out of its gate for approximately 250 meters before regaining its correct gate.
--Mr. McPherson confirmed that he represented the connections of Allrighty and that he provided a signed statement that Allrighty had galloped for 250 meters.
--Mr. Williams admitted that in the circumstances including the breaking horse guidelines that Allrighty should be disqualified from the race.
--The committee after taking into consideration the evidence presented to it disqualified Allrighty from race 9.
--The judge's placings are amended to read 7,1,11,5,10,8
