Mr Scott was not on course but Mr G Neill (Licensed Trainer) accepted full responsibility as he had got the horse ready to race and had put the gear on, he indicated to the Registrar that he did not wish to appear before the Committee and signed the information accordingly.

The Committee were told that the driver’s seat had come adrift which is in breach of Rule 864 (2) (d).

They imposed a penalty of $200 which the Registrar made Mr Neill aware of and confirmed to the Committee that he (Mr Neill) accepted same.
