An information was lodged by Stipendiary Steward Mr JM Muirhead against horseman Mr T Shaw alleging that Mr Shaw was late presenting Mustang Link into the Assembly Area and onto the Race Track, with that horse going onto the Race Track 7 minutes prior to race start time.

Mr Shaw admitted the breach and did not wish to be present at the Hearing.

Mr Muirhead gave evidence as to the horse being late onto the Track and also gave evidence as to the reasons why the Horseman was charged rather than the Trainer. Mr Muirhead further advised me that there were mitigating circumstances.

The normal fine for an offence of this nature is $100.00 but in view of the information provided to me by Mr Muirhead and taking his recommendation that a $50.00 fine would be appropriate. I impose a fine of $50.00 on Mr Shaw.
