--An information instigating a protest lodged by Stipendiary Steward Mr J Muirhead against horse WHITE SQUALL, driven by Mr T Mitchell and placed 4th by the judge on the grounds of breaking from its gait free of interference and galloping for the last 100m of the race.
--Mr B Lloyd, owner and trainer of WHITE SQUALL endorsed the information "I do not contest protest."
--Mr Muirhead demonstrated the incident by use of the video film. WHITE SQUALL broke free of interference and galloped for the last 100m. This is in breach of the breaking horse regulations. Accordingly WHITE SQUALL was disqualified, the final placings then being:-
