Following the running of Race 2, the Speights Coast To Coast Rating 75, Stipendiary Steward Mr S. C. Ching laid an information against Licensed Jockey Miss J. Cameron alleging a breach of Rules 856(1) and 858(1)(a) in that Miss Cameron failed to weigh in after riding LILYBROOK in that race.

Following the running of Race 2, the Speights Coast To Coast Rating 75, Stipendiary Steward Mr S. C. Ching laid an information against Licensed Jockey Miss J. Cameron alleging a breach of Rules 856(1) and 858(1)(a) in that Miss Cameron failed to weigh in after riding LILYBROOK in that race.

Miss Cameron had indicated on the Information that she admitted this breach of the Rules and she confirmed this at the hearing.

Mr Ching gave evidence that after the running of the race it was noticed that Miss Cameron had not weighed in as required, and she was spoken to about the matter. Miss Cameron said that weighing in had slipped her mind and she had no other excuse to offer.

PENALTY:

--

In relation to penalty Mr Ching advised that Miss Cameron had previously been warned for a breach of this Rule. Today no harm was done as the horse

ridden by Miss Cameron had finished in 9th place. A fine of between $100-00 and $200-00 was recommended. Miss Cameron had no relevant submissions to make relating to penalty.

We adjourned to consider penalty and were satisfied that as Miss Cameron had admitted the breach, and as no harm had been done by her failure to weigh in,

--

that a fine of $150-00 was appropriate. On resuming the hearing we advised that Miss Cameron was fined the sum of $150-00.
