At the conclusion of Race 4 CRT Supporting Racing In Southland Mobile Pace an information was lodged by Stipendiary Steward Mr C J Allison alleging that Mr K Larsen (FRANCO SYNERGY) allowed his drive to strike the Sulky wheel of CHEROKEE BROMAC (M Williamson) causing FRANCO SYNERGY to break passing the 400 metres.
The rule reads: 869(3)(b) No horseman in any race shall drive (b) carelessly.
Mr K Larsen admitted the breach.
Facts:
Stipendiary Steward Mr C J Allison showed the Committee several video clips of the incident, highlighting FRANCO SYNERGY (K Larsen) striking the sulky wheel of CHEROKEE BROMAC (M Williamson) about the 400 metre mark causing FRANCO SYNERGY to break and lose its chance. Mr Allison stated that no other horse had its chances affected by the incident.
Mr K Larsen stated his horse was normally clean gaited but was pacing a little roughly and may have lost its tongue tie.
