G. Lowry presented Snippins at the inspection area with incorrect saddle cloth.

Mr. G. Lowry having admitted a breach of rule 614 (2) did not wish to be present at the hearing as he had two horses to saddle for the next race.
Mr. Goodwin informed the committee it was a genuine mistake. Snippins was to have saddle cloth 9 and he inadvertently placed saddlecloth 6 on the horse.

In the interests of consistency, Mr. Goodwin asked for a monetary penalty.
