M Cameron, rider of Volk Dancer in Race 3 allowed his mount to shift inwards shortly after the 1400 metre start when not clear of Volksraine (J Rogers) and Omaha Boy (B Herd) was severely buffeted.
| -- The charge was admitted. --M Cameron, rider of Volk Dancer in Race 3 allowed his mount to shift inwards shortly after the 1400 metre start when not clear of Volksraine (J Rogers) and Omaha Boy (B Herd) was severely buffeted. --Mr N Goodwin showed the films which clearly showed M Cameron's mount coming across sharply causing buffeting to the horses on his inside. --Mr Taylor accepted that he did come across sharply but felt that J Rogers' actions may have contributed to the incident. --PENALTY --Mr Hawea informed the committee that Mr Cameron was charged under this rule on 14 August 2004 and suspended for three days. He was also suspended on 27 March 2004 for two days. --Answering a question Mr Cameron indicated he had been riding for two years and was getting a number of rides. --The committee imposed a penalty of suspension. --Mr Cameron's admittance of the breach and his record were taken account of in the penalty. --Mr Cameron was suspended from riding at the completion of racing on Saturday 30 October until the completion of racing on Sunday 7 November. A total of three days. --
